If you do an inject of this game into that emulator the screen shakes. Unfortunately I cant use another emulator so I need to fix the game itself. I saw that there is an ips patch posted on page 2. is that still the best solution for this?
Which part of the game shakes?

I havent played past the first level but as soon as you start level 1 the whole screen goes up and down constantly. I heard it only gets worse in level 2.

Towards the end of the first level, when cannonballs are falling from the sky, and in the second level, when it starts to vertically scroll. Maybe more afterwards, but I've never made it past there.

Yeah look in the video above, see the shake when cannonball hits? Well that shake is there the ENTIRE time.

I tried the IPS patch from page 2; however it did not fix the shake when injected into Nintendo's VC NES emulator.

The fix addressed in this thread is only for the areas shown in the video. There should be no shaking outside of those areas.

Here is a video of very beginning of the game. Sorry for bad gameplay, had to hold phone in one hand and play with another. You can see that during cutscenes everything is fine, but once level starts there is a shake. This is also the IPS patched version, which I think reduced the shake a tiny bit, I think its even more pronounced without the IPS patch - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhe3KrjNdc8

Found a PC emulator that shows the same problem called NesterJ from 2006. That way you can actually see the bug for yourself. Emulator link - http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/nes/nesterj.html

NesterJ 0.51b English version Windows Freeware Aug 6, 2006 196 Kb.
