Apart from GI/Microchip oddball architectures, what processor since the late 1970s uses external program memory with a word size that's not 8 or 16 bits?

They did sometimes for PS3 though, presumably to point out that the Xbox 360 couldn't fit the same game on a single (DVD) disc. Now that XB1 uses BR too there's not much point, I suppose?

Downloadable games, of course, need to have their sizes listed for practical reasons, but that's not really a marketing statement.

The last game I remember where marketing was boasting about its data size was Metal Gear Solid 4.

(to Tepples) Obvious snarky answer: Parity RAM.

More serious answer: there were a bunch of legacy systems with odd data bus widths still being used throughout the 1980s and even some of the 1990s.
