Woot! Thanks infiniteneslives!

I played through Final Fantasy 4, 5, and 6 with my wife, all of which have 2 player modes. 5 and 6 allow you to assign characters to controllers---but 4 basically makes both controllers act as one, just like the above adapter does. It wasn't too hard to agree on which characters were "ours" at any given time and remember to let the other player use the RPG menu at the appropriate time, so I figured, if I had an adapter like this we could play ANY rpg in the same "tandem" fashion. Could just pass the controller back and forth, but there's a psychological component of really sharing the game with somebody when they can be a copilot with their own controller.

Probably wouldn't work for anything but RPGs but, looking forward to it anyway ;)
