Is there already an alternative for the IMDB forums that they deactivated?

Don't know of any alternatives, but I loved the forums feature of the website. Must have been hell to moderate thousands of forums though, I can see why they got rid of them.

There was no moderation.

Oh there had to be some kind of moderation, otherwise the forums would be filled with spam posts, and URLs pointing to illegal content.

I often saw posts marked as "deleted" in the IMDB boards, and I always assumed that was the work of moderators. Could users delete their own posts? I never had an account there.

find the reddit board for whatever show or movie you wish to discuss.

IMDB was full of trolls, racists, and misogynists. i'm glad they shut down their forums.

Sounds a lot like reddit to me ;-)

Nono, reddit is full of trolls, antifa, and SJWs, which is the polar opposite.

It's not just SJWs; it's also regular JWs and Ex-JWs.

In how far is this an alternative to the IMDB boards? Where's the movie-by-movie sub forum?

When I talk about an IMDB alternative due to the boards that they closed, I'm not talking about any random movie data site or any random movie forum. I'm talking about a site that has sub forums for every movie and a site that has a lot of users.

Yes, you could delete your own posts. Happened a few times: Some idiot talked bullshit, I called him out on it and some time later, his original post was deleted.

Can anybody confirm that this is really a good alternative?
