Good find.

I can't find much about it, but you can clearly see an NES cartridge of "Sam's Journey" and a TV hooked up to an NES below it.

Based out of Germany.

What the heck is this cable coming out the top of the cart?

In this one https://twitter.com/knightsofbytes/stat ... 1197571072 its not playing Sam's Journey so its actually running some flash cart and the cable was to flash it I guess. The 64 next to it is playing Sam's Journey. More here https://twitter.com/knightsofbytes/stat ... 0237808640 a lot of C64s but also a A1200 and a CPC and Spectrum maybe Spectrum Next?

Pretty sure it's an Everdrive N8, which has an optional USB connector at that location. (You can also see the SD card.) That can be used to load and play ROMs directly, maybe the dev was working on it at the time? (Or... maybe the game makes use of it for some other communication?)

Yep, seems like an Everdrive, you can see the SD card slot on the left of the USB connector.
