Video game makeup?

Post by Bretfromhope » Wed Apr 22, 2020 4:36 pm

Apparently video game makeup is becoming the next big thing. I'm not talking about anime which is more like special effects or film makeup but real people, trying to look like their favorite video game characters. It's a tad bit different than comic con which is more like dressing up as a character but now it's more about makeup.

Anyone into this or heard about it?

I only put makeup on Halloween (I'm a dude).

I've seen PS1 Lara Croft costumes, which make the wearer look very low-poly.
Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies! They're wearing paper hats!

Never heard of this before. But it's funny and exciting as well, you know, to watch your favorite character passing by you. LOL

haha yeah that would be awesome. I would love to see some streetfighter characters especially Ken or Vega or something. Not sure if he'll be allowed to carry that spiky thing that Vega does though.

God, does that look awful. As if normal make-up didn't already look bad enough. I also don't see what this have to do with video games in any way.

Even if you somehow make up a face to look like a 2D drawing, it'll only work from a very specific angle, just like fake-3d drawings on a flat surface.
