I'd like to have a sound effect in my game that sounds like Blanka's electric attack in "Street Fighter II" or just a generic "bzz" sound effect that indicates an electric shock.

Do you know how to do this?

Alternate question: Do you know of any game that does this?
(The electric wire in level 2 of "Contra" and the sounds in Eleman's stage in "Mega Man" don't really sound like what I imagine.)

The noise channel has a periodic noise which can make some interesting buzzy noises at a couple different frequencies. You can see what it sounds like by putting a V01 effect on the noise channel in Famitracker, but making a really nice "electricity" sound might involve some more complicated manipulation of that effect.

See Shiru's LAN Master game for an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRH2gcSHTrA#t=1m10s

Thanks. I told my composer about it.

Try playing a bunch of really short notes using the periodic noise. Like an envelope that quickly cycles between on and off.

I made a couple of quick examples, if any of these are on the right track let me know and I'll be happy to share the settings:
