Please note that chances of using VRC6/7 music in actual NES games are low, that would be mostly suitable for emulators. Usually plain 2A03 music is required, sometimes without DPCM even.

Another thing that there are mostly covers in these examples, in case someone wanted to use it, he probably would need to get a permission from the original author as well.

In other words, give us a few 2A03 original compositions so we can gauge if we like your music within the limitations you'll actually be working under.

well there's a pure 2a03 (dicks.nsf) and a 2a03 with dpcm (home.nsf), i don't really have any others since i mostly make xm/mod music with milkytracker, but i can definitely work with limitations.

this unfinished song was made with shiru's famitone limitations in mind

Well, if someone does make a game using the mappers with expansion audio, then make a music using that too.

Some mappers have expansion audio, but only in some regions. Sunsoft 5B has expansion audio in Japan but not in Europe; the music for the Gimmick! had to be rearranged. MMC5 has expansion audio in Japan but not North America or Europe; the most popular platformer on MMC5 was a port of a Japanese game that used a mapper with expansion audio, and the music had to be rearranged. So for a game that uses a mapper with expansion audio, I'd recommend making both an arrangement with expansion audio and one without.

Pretty funky music, has a recognizable but yet unique feel to the instrumentation. Hope your tunes do make it into a homebrew game. :)
