or did it originate from some other X-Men source?

I ask this because I heard some notes of this on the ending credits to the X-Men (2000) film (I can't find the music or any videos Image).

At first I thought you were talking about the cartoon theme (which was pretty cool, BTW). I don't remember what the movie theme is like...

I should've probably asked this question 6 or 7 years ago (when I watched this movie on DVD). I immediately made the assumption that they both came from the same source.

But then I looked into X-Men & realized there was no prior film before this, no prior video game before the NES, & the first animation was the 1989 pilot "Pryde of the X-Men." So where could this source have come from?

I'm impressed If Michael Kamen went out of his way to lift this short chord progression from the game, because it sounded pretty iconic to me.

I'm going to arbitrarily guess that this is the origin of the theme, but I haven't the foggiest where I might listen to the original.

I didn't hear it. :(

Edit: I didn't find it in the intro either. :?
