Famiclone Dendy to NTSC help

Post by Haruka » Thu Apr 18, 2019 6:42 am

Hello guys!

Recently I got a famiclone named Subor D21. It is PAL 50Hz so the game is slow and not fullscreen. So I want to mod it to NTSC 60Hz.

Here is the mainboard of the famiclone. As you can see, it is an NOAC with a 26.601712MHz crystal. Silkscreen on the chip "UM6562F".
I searched the whole forum and found nothing about the chip. Is it similar with UM6561?
Anybody got any ideas on how to mod it?

I searched Youtube and found a video. From about 8:15 the guy on the video disassembled his console. The mainboard is exactly the same with mine! However I don't understand Russian a single bit so I don't know what he was saying. But according to the mess wiring on the video, I guess he might successfully modded it to NTSC 60Hz. Could anybody who knows Russian please tell me briefly what should I do to mod it?

Tried and success! I'll share with you guys in case someone in need someday.

Similar with UM6561 as I assumed.
Connect the two jumpers as shown in the image. (the two red lines)
Change the 26.601712 MHz crystal to 21.47727 MHz.
Finished and enjoy!
