Broken NES Graphics

Post by Titusjames »

I am new to NES, so I don't really know what I'm doing. I recently recieved an NES from my aunt, who wasn't using it. However, the graphics glitch out so that the games are unplayable. The games work perfectly, just have insane graphical glitches.
I have researched this issue and found many similar problems, but none of the solutions to those helped me.

I replaced the 72 pin connector, I cleaned the cartridges, I tried different TVs, I tried changing the angle of the cartridges.

None of these fixes worked. If anyone has a solution, please tell me.

Glitchy graphics are usually the fault of the connector, but they could instead be the PPU RAM or the PPU's latch.

A picture of what you mean by "glitchy" will help diagnose.
