AOROM problem with Solar Jetman: Hunt for the Golden Warpship

Post by RetHunter » Thu Feb 04, 2021 2:53 pm

Made a board for mapper AOROM. Battletoads, BTDD works fine. But the game Solar Jetman: Hunt for the Golden Warpship does not work properly. After a couple of seconds, the music disappears. European version with a normal menu, but before the game everything hangs. The US version starts with glitches on the menu and also hangs before the game.
I added the 74LS02 chip (to invert OE signal), but nothing changed. What could be the problem? :x
Thanks!

What console are you trying your repro on? The game will not work on a console whose CPU implements decimal mode. The game is written to work with bus conflicts, so the /OE problem should not apply to this game.

You're right! I changed the game console to another famiclone and it works properly! Thank you very much!

But now you are making me curious which famiclone console you tried before. Name, model, pictures? :)

Because while it has been rumored that early revisions of Bit Corp.'s "Creator" implemented decimal mode, no such console has been spotted in the wild.

Without name and labels. There is a console and instructions on one sheet. The console can run in NTSC and PAL. I have about 30pcs. of them. There are photos:
