Good start on Super Painter, but I found a couple confusing parts in the first few screens.
- Both B and A are jump, and there is neither an attack button nor a Donkey Kong-style attack powerup. Sound effects are ripped from Nintendo's Super Mario Bros., yet Goomba stomp causes the player to lose.
- There is no indication that touching the floor at the bottom causes the player to lose.
- Is that supposed to be a face?

Super Painter could benefit from having the status bar moved down a bit. On my TV only the hearts and the bottom few pixels of the numbers are visible. Otherwise it looks really polished.

Quite a ways into super painter, the sprite overdraw limit on this level:
(How, you will ask, did I get this far with 5 hearts? Sssh)
is unfortunate. I'd probably want to put the monsters before the lives indicator in the sprite table. Not clear whether I'd rather have the decorative snow eclipse the hearts, since it's not continuous.(How, you will ask, did I get this far with 5 hearts? Sssh)

Wouldn't it be wise to make the status bar part of the BG? I've only played about 4 levels, but none of them scroll, so it would be fine.
