I was wondering which software / hardware the nes musicians were using to create video game music back in the 80's ?

Here's what Tim Follin used…for playback testing? A little light on details, but it's something.

Thanks, cool video but doesnt help much, i would like some more precise informations on the tools that nes musicians used... hope someone knows and can give a clear answer.
