tokumaru, where's your demo of 3d raycasting?

Sorry I missed this. Memblers is apparently still hosting it for me (thanks!): http://membler-industries.com/tokumaru/ ... ter_01.nes

I don't know if these are online, but long ago loopy had made some awesome demos. One was a bouncing ball that would stretch and deform that I believe was drawn entirely with timed writes to the $2001 register.

You sure that wasn't my Boing 2007 demo, used to prove a point about Young Indiana Jones?

Nah, definitely not. This would have been early 00s or maybe even late 90s. Anyways it seemed super impressive at the time, like most older stuff probably doesn't work as expected on NES, and probably would be underwhelming if it was looked at today compared to other things, so it was probably a bit of a stretch for me to mention it. I looked and couldn't even find it on my PC (no idea what the filename was).

I couldn't find it either, I guess it's lost forever. As you say, it's underwhelming today, just a ball that deforms using timed scroll writes. The aptly named "unfinished" demo, and firefly (more a proof of concept than demo, really) can be found here.
