Hello all,
I'm going to be implementing support for direct color mode (i.e. $2130.0) on my FPGA SNES in the very near future. Could anyone provide some names of games/demos that utilize that feature? I've searched around but came up empty-handed.
Thanks!

I think I heard Act Raiser II's map screen uses it. That's probably it; just another useless SNES feature.

This post lists a few more.
I wouldn't really call it a completely useless feature; it's a reasonable way to have high-color backgrounds without restricting the colors you're able to use for layer 2 or sprites. You can sort of consider it a way to have both the normal 15-bit palette and a second 11-bit palette available simultaneously.
I think the fact that it wasn't used very much was just because games didn't tend to use 256-color screen modes very often in the first place, aside from mode 7.

Thanks a ton! There are several direct color scenes to test with across that set of games. Just what I needed!

My current setup:
Super Famicom ("2/1/3" SNS-CPU-GPM-02) → SCART → OSSC → StarTech USB3HDCAP → AmaRecTV 3.10
