Spambot edits show up frequently on the wiki, almost always coming from 69.20.131.234. However, legitimate edits have come from it as well. Lidnariq explained that this is because 69.20.131.234 is the address of our HTTPS reverse proxy.
Why is this the case? Does the HTTPS proxy not send an X-Forwarded-For header? Or is the wiki not configured to treat 69.20.131.234 as a proxy and thus trust the X-Forwarded-For header it sends?

As a temporary workaround, could we get the same ad-hoc protection on Talk:Nesdev as is currently on Talk:Nesdev Wiki ?
