Fake Bio Force Ape prototype rom (Dur Butter demo)

Post by Dwedit »

I have managed to track down a prototype cartridge of the rare and unreleased Bio Force Ape by Seta. Thanks to the help of some anonymous individuals who have dumped the rom of this ultra-rare prototype cartridge.

Looks like ProgrammingAce managed to Obtain and Dump Bio Force Ape himself about 16 days before I did...

Cartridge scan:

It's windowed EPROMs on a margarine type printed circuit board.

Am I the only one who fails miserably to understand this joke? I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

When you program homebrew, you're programming COMMUNISM.

Basically, it's a feud between cartridge collectors and the rare rom dumping scene. Collectors hoard the unreleased and undumped games, and the dumpers insult them by calling them "fatties" who eat lots of butter, and the collectors call the rom dumpers "communists".

After suffering the flamewars between the "factions" I've decided they're all obese socialists.
Makes me want to write homebrew games that appear to be fake unreleased games just to tweak them. Or at least make screens and pics of fake cartridges, then smash them.

Apparently, you couldn't write the word "social-ist" or "special-ist" on this board without the hyphen because the word censor sees the "cial-is" and thinks you're talking about a brand of tadalafil often advertised in spam. But now that social-ism is the topic, I went and changed the censor pattern so that the bad word has to start with "cial-is".

test:
socialist == social-ist
so-cruddy 3V bootleg carts █RX SPAM█ == so-my mom

I'd work with you on that, but it's hard to convince the collectors and ROM dumpers that our homebrew is actually an unreleased game from the NES's commercial era when we're discussing milestone builds on nesdev.com/bbs.
