It looks like that Hunter hack stole the audio from a Famicom game: Hyaku No Sekai No Monogatari.

The same, but now with all songs and sound effects (songs #1-#97) and PCM recordings (songs #98-#115). I used the MMC5's DAC to retain the samples' full eight bits of resolution. Uses NSF2's IRQ timer feature when available.

New NSF from game that became emulated just last week. Apparently, all songs are taken from other sources, though I can only identify a couple of them:

#1 Kamen Rider
#3 Airwolf
#5 Stage 1 from Big Challenge! Dogfight Spirit
#8 Thexder

The sound driver is the biggest mess that I have ever seen in my life. Instead of playing straight from bank-switched ROM, it copies 32 byte per channel at a time to RAM at $200+, constantly updating this "buffer" as the song progresses. The same thing with PCM samples, which are copied and played in 128 byte amounts, giving them an extra-grungy quality. (I have not retained the latter in the NSF.)

The NSF has been enhanced for NSF2, so that the PCM waveforms will sound cleaner in players such as rainwarrior's NSFPlay that support the IRQ Timer feature. I use the MMC5's DAC to retain the full eight bits of PCM resolution.

MrNorbert1994, can you make NSF rip from JungleTac NES games?
