Kaite Tsukutte Asoberu: Dezaemon and Dezaemon Plus

Post by marvelus10 » Thu May 21, 2020 10:29 am

Dezaemon Plus for the PS1 contained 9 bonus games that were created for a competition using Kaite Tsukutte Asoberu: Dezaemon for the Super Famicom. A recent google search turned up an old tweet describing how to remove those bonus games from Dezaemon Plus and use them as save files to play on Kaite Tsukutte Asoberu: Dezaemon. So I asked a few questions and was able to quickly create the save files. All 9 games are fully playable and quite well done.

Each game has its own folder, it is seperated into 6 .DAT files, if you take four of those files and open them into a Hex editor, copy and paste them in order to a new file and save it as a .SRM. That new file can be used in an emulator as a save file to play the game using Dezaemon SFC.

I figured there would be a few people interested on here, stay safe out there.

Stupid question: Where are the files?

I think I remember I've been looking for these before, but I don't seem to have them so I'm grateful to finally get them. Thanks!

Very cool!

Super hazy memory this; but didn't someone work out how to combo dezeamon .srm saves a while back into functional stand alone roms using the snes dezeamon, I seem to remember them replacing the built in demo game or perhaps using the BS one..?

Yes the BS ROM was used to create stand alone ROM's, the group of save files from this have already been created into BS ROMs as well.
