Who are you, who who, who who? (I really wanna know)
You know, we make so many posts and help each other out all of the time, but we know so little about each other. I am interested in knowing the following things.
[Identity Theft]
1. Who are you?
2. Where are you from/Where do you live?
3. Why are you into NES emulation?
4. What do you do in your spare time?
5. Age. Pets. Marital Status. Children?
6. Any funny stories? (hopefully NES related)
7. Do you have a job/Are you a student? If so what?
8. What does the future hold for you?

Although I can understand what blargg said, personally, yeah, I'd be more worried about what peppers said. I wouldn't mind the NESDEV people knowing more about me, but this is the fucking WEB, where not everyone is nice, and might end up using what you write against you.
I really enjoy that the internet makes it possible for us to find people with the same interests. There's no way I'd be into NESDEV at all if it wasn't for this place, and emulation in general, simply because no one I meet in my everyday life would ever show the same interest, I'm pretty sure of that. So I'll give the internet that, but it is indeed a pretty nasty place to give out information about yourself.

Ha, fair enough. I'll trim down some of the questions and answer some myself.
1. James
2. London
3. I got into NES emulation as a learning curve for SNES emulation, but now I am going to emulate all consoles.
4. Emulation, Gym, Cinema/Theatre, FPS + RPG PC games
5. None. 25. Single. Where do babies come from?
6. My NES console once electrocuted me into a coma...
7. I work in a supermarket.
8. Unless I quit #7, not much.
P.S. Religious stance: Atheist.

Wow... you better move on to other consoles soon, because they're releasing new ones all the time, and it sems like you are still mostly stuck with the NES!WedNESday wrote:3. I got into NES emulation as a learning curve for SNES emulation, but now I am going to emulate all consoles.

What the hell, this question again?WedNESday wrote:5. None. 25. Single. Where do babies come from?
This is not really funny...!WedNESday wrote:6. My NES console once electrocuted me into a coma...![]()
Not really, we know your name from your web page... =)Bregalad wrote:1. This is a secret
OK then, I'll give this a shot:
1. Pretty broad question, but my name is Thiago (equivalent to "James" in english).
2. I was born and live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Just for the record, I hate soccer, carnaval and samba in general. I was born in the wrong country.
3. I got into gaming when the 16-bit consoles were "the shit". Only when emulation kicked in (1997~1998) I fell in love with the simplicity of the NES, and got very interested on how it worked.
4. NES programming, watch anime/read manga, draw (manga), ActionScript 3.0 programming... I'm sure I'm leaving lots of other things out.
5. 26, 3 cats, engaged, no kids.
6. None that I can remember...
7. Finishing Computer Science course at the university, working as WEB developer.
8. Will probably keep working with WEB development, although that brings me no joy.
Religious stance: Agnostic.

Isn't anybody else going to say anything about this kind of behaviour? Now if I had written that...atari2600a wrote:I'll tell you the same thing I told everyone else on the intranets:
