Re: Writing Famicom Disks in 2013

My concern is actually prolonging life of the FDS disks themselves. Over years, should they get corrupted or their data damaged somehow, I would like to know that I have the option of re-writing them with a fresh copy of the image. I can't imagine data is pushed very fast for the system simply give...

Re: Writing Famicom Disks in 2013

I would like to see a way of loading FDS games via 3.5" floppy, but I know I am dreaming... As of now, I use my MGD1 to write disks...

Re: Backing up NES/Famicom carts to FDS/game doctor format?

I mostly want game doctor FDS images since I am a collector. I do have a PowerPak, but would love game doctor FDS images. Dr PC NES JR is too expensive, if you can find one, and is not RGB capable.

Re: Backing up NES/Famicom carts to FDS/game doctor format?

Just thought I would ask. Game Doctor images are damn near impossible to get, and people that do have them seemingly guard them with their lives.

Backing up NES/Famicom carts to FDS/game doctor format?

Is this possible? I like FDS disks, and I have a Turbo Game Doctor 6+
I know a powerpak would be easier, but I wanna know.

Re: Toaster NES 15 pin expansion mod

Do you have a tutorial or diagram of how this was done? DO you know what other accessories utilize this port?

Re: Please add support for Tapatalk - android/iOS forum app

I have enclosed in this post two screenshots of Tapatalk in action. The second is a list of forums that I am subscribed to, and the first screenshot shows Famicomworld. Oh and by the way, i am posting all of this entirely on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy Note)...

Re: Please add support for Tapatalk - android/iOS forum app

koitsu, I totally respect what you said regarding this request. Its just that since the computer world is rapidly shifting from PC's to smartphones/tablets, it may be a good idea (eventually) to add that kind of support for this forums. Many major game forums have Tapatalk support (neogeo.com, famic...

Re: Please add support for Tapatalk - android/iOS forum app

Well as I understand, it costs nothing to add Tapatalk support for a forum. The app costs money, but is well worth it, and better than a mobile version. I would be willing to donate money if that meant this forum would gain Tapatalk support.

To be fair, I recently got my AV Famicom RGB modded, and it looks 20x better on my plasma than when using composite. It's using s-video (240p works fine over s-video) but the picture is so much better it's ridiculous. I actually really like the different pallet. Only instance in where it was bizarr...

its just easier to find say, on ebay, some fds disks rather than quickdisks (I actually have about 20 of those) and rewrite them yourselves. Now as far as rewriting fds disks, it is best to just use an old school PC that's from the early to mid 90's or so. I got a cheap pentium laptop specifically f...
