Re: SMB USA Plus (SMB2 USA)

Some of the fixes are nice, but some of the stuff just seems like personal preference.
Anyway maybe I will give this a try sometime on my Twitch channel.

Re: Soundtracks recorded with real hardware?

On a slightly related note, I'd be interested to know what the audible differences are between emulated expansion audio on Power Pak (using a resistor/potentiometer mod) and actual Famicom hardware. I'm aware there's differences in volume (due to expansion-specific hardware mixing), but is there any...

Re: Newbie with NerdTracker II

NerdTracker was a very important piece of software in its day, but is literally 100% obsolete in the shadow of FamiTracker, which can do everything NerdTracker can do and more. There is also another tracker called Deflemask which is ported to Mac by its developer and emulates many chipsets including...

That is funny! Sweden also has a vibrant NES speedrunning community.

Re: New Project: The Legends of Owlia

This project looks really promising!

How is the music being done? Famitone, or original sound driver?

Re: Get rid of vibrato clicking (pop) in ppmck / mml SM

IIRC, my little experiment failed. I got the "y" command working on one note, then ran into problems. Someone made a hack of PPMCK which supposedly eliminates vibrato clicking, but I couldn't even get it to compile nsfs. As for "SM", it does provide a legato effect for rapidly changing notes, but do...

In regard to microtuning, I think extra flats/sharps would be more flexible than extra note letters.

Seems like a different NES might be worth a try, or buying the original NES power adapter. I myself ran into very hideous sound by using a universal adapter...increasing the voltage from 9 to 12 improved the situation immensely, though I dunno if 12 is good for the NES' electronic chain. If you're g...

Ok I understand now...the actual NSF rate is somewhere around 53.8 fps, which affects the real world tempo accordingly. What's weird though is I'm now having no trouble at all with frameskip at F96/F01. I don't know if yesterday I ran into a bug or what, it was like each pattern added an extra cpu f...

Ah ok, I understand. Also, I was wondering if integral tempi are possible in NTSC mode? 150 bpm seems to skip a frame here and there. edit: Nevermind, I found this at your website: I added NTSC mode to Pornotracker so that the user knows exactly how the song would sound when exported to NTSC NSF. Mu...

Hi, I don't know if you plan on releasing another version, but I had a couple of requests in mind for DPCM: note delay, and Z effect (delta counter). Thanks...this is a great tracker.

I think what Miau meant was that he wouldn't accept money until the game is actually finished. Just a hunch.

Sweet soundtrack. The difficulty kinda reminded me of Ghosts n Goblins, though not quite that tough.

The demo doesn't seem to run in every version of FCEU...worked fine in 0.98.1 but not 0.98.15. I realize those are pretty old versions.

Famitracker forum generally doesn't receive requests in a favorable manner, but there's also chipmusic.org, 2a03.org, etc.
