Re: What is too politically toxic?
i love how you think it's totally cool to compare somebody to literal mass murderers, and reserve your harshest judgement for the very gentle pushback received in response to that. totally okay to call somebody a fascist, but out of line for me to reply that i disagree with his concept of political...

Re: Super Magic Drive
Update time! I got hold of an old DOS 486 laptop with a real floppy controller. Got it working, even with the 1.6 MB special format! Re: Articles expressing amazement over a 30 year old compute
Most people have no idea how a computer works. It's like magic to them. Why would something break down from sitting still in storage? Wouldn't surprise me if people think the electrons fall out or something.

Where is "here", and why does it cost more there? both krikzz and retrousb sell worldwide as far as I know, for the same prices.Fisher wrote:Flashcarts here costs an arm and leg.
You can always get away dirt cheap by putting sockets in old carts, and use EPROMs/EEPROMs

I am on windows 10. If I format a floppy on windows, I can read and write without problems on windows, but the disk is unreadable/unwriteable on the SMD. If I format a floppy on the SMD, I can save and load games on the SMD without issue. But the disk is unreadable in windows. So it seems both flopp...

Super Magic Drive
I recently aquired a Super Magic Drive for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. I thought I would be able to load up a few homebrews and other roms on it from the PC. I know it is possible via the parallel port, but I don't have a PC with one of those. I do however have a floppy drive on my PC (USB floppy d...
