Re: Nin Nin

Hello. I use neslib. Maybe support for such controllers would be easy to add patching the library? Glad you liked it. Yeah, it draws lots of inspiration from my favourite 8 bits game :D It's also a simpler, easier, kid-friendly version of this game we released in 2014: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: Veggie Invaders

I love the visuals. And the 4-way scroller is impressive. I'll try to find some time to try how it plays soon.
Good job,

Re: Nin Nin

Yeah, probably :)
I'll check what could be wrong with the Lava pit later. Meanwhile, you can skip levels using UP+B+SELECT

I made this simple game for my kid. He's 5 and wanted to play one of those game dad makes. He has fun with this one, and you? Use A to jump and B to punch. In some levels you swim. And maybe you'll have to solve very simple puzzles. Be 5 again and beat this. I wanted this game to be a simple NROM ca...

Re: Meta tiles in screen-by-screen-scrolling games

Personally, I use a grid of say 16x12 2x2 patterns metatiles, but I use RLE compression and a limited tile count, say 16 or 32 metatiles. That way I can use a single byte to represent a run of tiles, using 4 or 3 bits for the run length. Besides, my renderer first decompress the RLE stream to a buff...

Re: Espitene

Sonic Mal was a short joke game for the multicart. Espitene is obviously based on the same premise, but uses a different engine and is a complete game.
