Re: iNES emulator by Marat Fayzullin is free now

If folks want to bang on gongs over iNES incompatibility and issues, I also suggest you do the exact same for the ridiculous number of other NES emulators out there . The list grows long. The problem is, iNES was that inaccurate AND you were expected to pay for it. Other emulators are free with or ...

Re: Smooth scrolling in NES emulators?

When you say 'smooth scrolling' are you referring to the lack of VSYNC or the fact that some emulators drop the occasional frame for timing purposes?

This simply has to be it. It must be to do with some signed 16-bit frame counter variable.

No harm in that. On the contrary, the more test ROMs the better. His might miss something yours doesn't.

Re: My new personal web site/Useful ROM utility

So you are British, but you have a site in .de ? Oh I bet it's just because it's less expensive or something. Anyway congratulations, there is not much on it right now but I know it's a though decision to have a website and maintain it. I know because I decided to take mine off since I wasn't uploa...

Executive summary of readme.txt if you happen to be on a platform other than Windows: It acts on a folder that has been processed by GoodTools, removing files whose names match *[b*]*, *[f*]*, *[h*]*, *[o*]*, *[p*]*, *[t*]*, *[BF]*, or *(? My new personal web site/Useful ROM utility

Sorry to have to plug this here but it also serves a purpose for NESemdev. I have a new web site http://www.jamesturner.de/ which will eventually host WedNESday some time next year alongside other programs that I have written. At the moment there is only 1 program available for download. This progra...

Re: NES vs VC Differences

Er no, that's a facehugger from the Alien movie after Valve gets its hands on it. And what is a facehugger from Alien after Nintendo gets its hands on it? The Facehugger and Metroid aren't the same at all. The Metroid latches on top of the head while the Facehugger goes for the face. I don't believ...

Re: NES games that will not be missed if destroyed

In 100 years time, in fact in 75 for the games that most people care about, few will need the cartridges because the ROMs will have become free to distribute. The licensed NES game whose copyright expires last is Wario's Woods , and under current law, its copyright expires in 2090. Sigh... I'm not ...

Re: NES games that will not be missed if destroyed

You should never destroy anything like a videogame console or cartridge because once its gone, its gone forever. They never will make any more of those. If there are several copies at used game stores, and the game is common and cheap on online trading sites, does anyone need to make more of those?...
