That's a shame. I always looked forward to StarTropics hacks.

But this is no hack. It's a Game Maker game, and it's really good.

Why is there a sack of flour in the pattern tables? Check the name of the author of the first game listed here and compare it to the name of the person who made this ROM: http://bobrost.com/nes/games.php I just notice The Adventures of Lex and Grim used Startropics2 tiles for it's floor, because th...

Either way, I'm pretty damn sure that an IT would be way more better and accurate sounding than a Midi conversion.

I tried doing NSF2Midi then Midi2IT and it's not exactly perfect to convert since NSF2Midi already takes away alot of original elements of the song.

You know his topic collides with my question.

How the fuck do I move the palette pointers? Like I want more that use the brown pallete, which is like palette $03 I think.

I need some solid $03 tiles.

Or better yet just tell me how to make the mushroom platforms's tops use palette 03

It sounds to me like he wants a separate palette for each 8x8 tile (metatile?), a la MMC5, but he could also be asking for delicious chocolate pudding. *shrug* ..... Someody make me some pudding. I'll give you full credit in the README. Please stop going off topic, Thank you. I meant 16x16 metatile...

Is that why he keeps posting those NES 3D pictures but we see nothing really relating to it being real? Like I've seen that fucking picture on at least 50 topics now for no reason and now.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'acquired colors' but they're identical for the most part. The shades on GBC might be brighter. If the screenshots were properly scaled and cropped it might be hard to tell them apart. Disappointingly, the deluxe version of Lost Levels has the tileset from SMB and Mari...

I made the NES operate with a 9V battery for about an hour, strangely enough. I basically clipped the cord off of the NES 9V adapter, and soldered the end to one of those 9V battery snap connectors . I hooked that up to a portable TV to play NES in the car. I don't know why every time I've done it ...

SMB2 and SMB3 seem to have fared better during the conversion process than SMB1 and Lost Levels, though: both of those games have some odd quirks not present in the originals (for example, Super Mario does not rebound properly when he smashes a brick). That was probably done on purpose, but yeah, I...
