The Strobe 4021 cable will allow you to connect your pc to a NES controller port. The CF cable will allow you to do things like ram drive the contents of the Compact Flash card inside the PowerPak using your own computer. The SD cable will do the same thing as the CF cable, except for San Disk. This...

99% of the Social Mutiny simply hacks up Carts and recompiles them. in reality all you need is your pc, an isp, a single PowerPak, a SM-NXM CF emulation driver + cable for your pc, and a SM-NXM controller 2 telnet driver for your pc in order to play SocialMutiny.tv games. (Plus a NES/Famicom, TV, an...

you know you could always pop 2 powerpaks into the nes slots on the shared copyNES in the diagram chocked full of games o.o, or else connect multiple shared copyNESes. or else i could give the shared CopyNES 8 cart slots :P obviously the SM-NXM would come bundled with a PowerPak and the Shared CopyN...

yeah i was trying to show how you did it versus what Disch ended up explaining.

Code: Select all

f(x){
return (x&0x80)?-((x&0x80)-(x&0x7f)):x;
}
simplifies as -128+(foo&0x7f) for negative numbers only. (like Disch said)

blargg made this even simpler:

Code: Select all

f(x){
return (x^0x80)-0x80;
}

simpler signed char to dec conversion.

Code: Select all

f(x){
return (x&0x80)?-((x&0x80)-(x&0x7f)):x;
}

(new post to reduce individual post size stress on MySql database) method to convert signed char to signed dec: f(x)={ return ((x&0x80)?-1:1)*(x^((x&0x80)?0x7f:0)); // the following is incorrect to append: +((x&0x80)>>7) } remember: & is bitwise and ^ is bitwise xor * is multiplication foo?truthcase...

;signed numbers: 10111111 11000001 ------------ 10000000 ;but the real answer is 10000001 ;cause in 2's complement, you ad 1 to it to get the result? signed dec to signed char conversion: f(x){ return (sgn(x)==-1) ? ( (abs(x)<=128) ? ( ( abs(x)^(0x7f) ) +1) : 0 ) : (x&0x7f); } i indented for easier...
