I hate to play ' Mom ' here, but it's cool seeing you kids playing in this thread, but for 'searchability' and contextual relevance, we might wanna continue this thread over where hap pointed out. This topic about the 'rewind feature' seems to be the best area to discuss the subject. I'd really like...

Disch: While we were on IRC you mentioned that this would be better tested on an NROM RAM cart after our discussion due to the fact that this would bypass PowerPak code.

Does this still stand?

I've used save states before. I'm gonna side with hap on this one. Either way it's already possible.

The methods are out there... but it's an issue of laziness.

Are the debuggers too lazy to use save states or are the coders too lazy to implement new methods?

I've always wanted the stepping back feature, but it would mean that you'd have to cache at least 5 steps or so per step -- so you could go back.

Schpune for Mac OSX / *nix systems.

If I wasn't stuck on Windows for all of my music development, I'd be using this Schpune . Latest development: Version 0.1.2 (2/7/2008) : * Fixed Unicode issues. Unicode builds should now work. (Disch) * Added patch to fix Unicode build with g++. (Parasyte) * Added support for --enable-unicode and --...

l33t debugging.

I know most of us are getting sick of FCE Ultra, but Parasyte has just recently released his own personal version of FCE Ultra with the sexiest NES/Fami debugger ever.

Give Parasyte some love.

Famicom Music Sequencer v0.5 by quad

Back in 2004 , quad released a Famicom music sequencer with little to no attention given to it. Through the magic of archive.org , I was able to trace the history of the pages until I found the site with the most up-to-date version of this sequencer. Unfortunately, archive.org has a mean little tric...

best plan ever ever evar

But does anyone really want to get rickrolled through an NES emulator? I've prototyped the backing track as an S3M , over which I can put PCM lyrics. You ruined it. Best plan: Code a menu with PRESS START for the Wild Boys "prototype," then steal rips from the many Mario flash movies to have Mario ...

you want the source so you can fix it? Oh, me? I'm a complete moron and entirely incapable of creating anything other than social havok, but thanks. :D Other people may be able to though, so posting the source isn't a bad idea at all. Especially since FamiTracker may have VRC6 and 7 in upcoming pri...

White Bomberman : Sir sir sir... How come you're not trying to track with FamiTracker ? Knowledge and skills needed for FamiTracker: 1.) RTFMity: Read the manual about the effects commands. 2.) Hexadecimal: 0-F = 0-15, yo. 3.) Basic music theory: At first, just learning how to stay in the key of C ...

y0, NotTheCommonDose . Us kids at BotB break NotSoFatso quite often if you need some trackin' n00bz to get you to fix it better via destructive love. Example: Many o' Strobe's wankery+love NSFs. I bug Disch all the time and he doesn't seem to keen on porting Schpune to Winamp or XMPlay. *many tears*...

Practical application.

As I am an infamously useless troll of sorts, I will just make a request for the betterment of the sk3n3 and get the codemonkeys to do the hard work. 1.) jsr and thefox, please hack up a way to apply this into the NES/Fami tracking experience in FamiTracker, NerdTracker, and PornoTracker plz plz, Sc...
