I'm a bit interested in adding FDS support in my emulator. I've read that high-level-emulation of the FDS BIOS routines would be possible. Have anyone tried it and perhaps got some hints on how to implement it?

My TV supports NTSC signals(as I am watching NTSC dvd's now and then) but obviously this won't do to get correct audio?

I'm planning on purchasing a japanese Famicom console, but I've learned that it only comes with a standard antenna-cable connection (sorry for possible poor english ), and using it on a PAL TV results in low-quality audio.

I got my stuff working now. Thanks for all help. A special "hello and thanks" to everyone that write these test-ROMs, they were not present when I did some NES coding a few years ago. Anyway, they've helped alot, keep 'em coming.
Anyone feels like doing a test-ROM(FDS) for the FDS?

I'd like some kind of devcart, allowing you to run, for example mapper0-4 stuff, that would be more than enough for me anyway. And if it came with a usb/similar connection, and didn't require any assembly at all, I'd buy it asap.

I've read about a few devcarts being built in this forum (By Kevtris/Memblers etc.) but I haven't read any recent news concerning these devices for a very long time. What's the status on these projects today? Anyone knows?

Seems to be quite a rare situation however to find that kind of code in a ROM, unless it's a test-ROM.

I think the first example would result in fetching data from $2211 and the second one $1133.
Do I need to do my homework?

Just found the very nice nestest.nes ROM, great stuff indeed. But I keep getting error 59 (STA (ind,x)) test. I am not sure how the test is performed as I haven't been able to locate the asm-source that nestest.txt refers to. I've browsed a few 6502 docs and some other NES sources but haven't found ...

I just thought of something else.. The counter is affected aswell when the PPU Address is auto-incremented when $2007 is written to?
