Re: Does anyone has ASM6 mapper 30 game template?

But they need a different template to Mapper 2 one, up to and including iNES header. And by "not compile" I've actually meant "not compile into a valid Mapper 30 rom", not that there would be any errors or anything like that.

Re: Does anyone has ASM6 mapper 30 game template?

There are more differences between the two other than the amount of banks. I need a template so I won't get something that doesn't compile.

Re: Does anyone has ASM6 mapper 30 game template?

Thanks, but I'm looking into UNROM-512 specifically to take advantage of the features of this mapper and INL boards, such as increased ROM space (512KB).

Re: Anyone got an ASM6f binary (exe)

The version in the link doesn't work, it begs for msys DLLs without providing them. Found other binary that works though.

Does anyone has ASM6 mapper 30 game template?

Basic stuff such as header, NES initialization, simple state machine, some mapper30-specific macros and so on. Just so I can start write other stuff (actual game code like data loading, etc.) without having to worry about basics.

Anyone got an ASM6f binary (exe)

"Regular" ASM6 won't do, I need Mesen label generation. The link on Mesen wiki leads to sources which I don't have tools to compile (if I want to make some regular app, I use either C#, Java or Lazarus, latter being open source Delphi clone).

Re: NES zapper + LCD

Original zapper may not be possible to get working with LCDs, but how about specially designed one that's basically a simple digital camera detecting patterns made by zapper-controlled games (black frame white frame black frame) and sending appropriate signals back to console (hit/not hit, etc.). Ou...

How hard and expensive would it be to develop a FPGA-based

...cartridge? FPGA doesn't even have to be used for the entire thing, it could have normal eeproms for stuff like PRG and CHR and normal basic chips. Where FPGA would come useful is to emulate mappers that normally you'd need to sacrifice another game for, such as MMC3 or other powerful mappers.

Um... Twin Dragons? I think it's cool, though it's only available as a cartridge release (there's a demo rom though, but unsure where to get it).

Re: InfinitROB

The problem with using the original ROB has always been the dependency on the refresh rate of the CRT TV to match the timing expected by the robot to then trigger each movement. I experimented with the idea of an interpreter device of sorts to act between the monitor and ROB, but ultimately decided...

Re: Mesen - NES Emulator

An NES + DBG file is attached. ( github source ) A similar example to above can be found at the label "menu_title_redraw". This should be fixed as of the latest commit (and the X register should properly return 1 for PAL NSF files). Haven't implemented the NSFe extension yet, though. Let me know if...

Re: Aren't you afraid that NES Maker would just bring lazy n

I think we should all just ignore those toxic ranting "cool kids" who think they can define what's good and what's bad and enforce it upon everyone. I'm referring to those who overuse the terms "noob" and "cringe" and other derogatory inspiration-killing expressions. So what if people make these "M...
