Re: community fonts for NES Dev

Here's a typeface I made for my military style games, feel free to use it! The small caps characters and some symbols are leftovers from another font.

Re: EMUya - A emulation store for homebrew NES development

One idea is to change the name to BREWya or something like that, calling it EMUya will make people think that it's an emulator that plays romz for free and

Re: NES Screen Tool

Just passing by to say that your tool is the best out there. Seriously, NES Screen Tool + YY-CHR = unbeatable duo. The only reason I'm programming my own level editor on XNA is because I would like to not have to write all trigger zones and sprite placements by hand. God bless you for your tool! :D

Re: How can I reprogram my own nes cartridge?

That toner transfer method is pretty neat. I searched for it and the "PCB Fab-in-a-box" product looks kinda promising, without acid handling: http://www.pcbfx.com/main_site/pages/st ... rview.html , I might try it out someday.

Re: EMUya - A emulation store for homebrew NES development

An idea that I had not long ago (when I was thinking about XNA only to learn computer generated sounds is a no-go on the platform) was to add "achievement" support by watching a ceirtain RAM address... when the ROM program sets a watched flag to true, the emulator app must acknowledge it and display...

Re: How can I reprogram my own nes cartridge?

Donors are so much cheaper, why NOT use them? But infinite NES lives might be able to throw together/have a PCB design. But if you're not gonna order 100 or so, it's probably not getting them made, it'll be too expensive IIRC. That's what it's puzzling me, how did Farid make his own PCB (I'm assumi...

Re: How can I reprogram my own nes cartridge?

I would if I could :( I really don't know where to begin to make the PCB's traces, I thought that a factory was needed to that stuff. How did Farid printed his own PCB design anyway? I wish that an easier UNROM solution existed apart from the Repropak... I'm programming a homebrew which I want to se...

Re: How can I reprogram my own nes cartridge?

Very nice! Sorry for bumping a two-year old thread but how does one make a NES cart PCB?
