Re: Hi-Def NES HDMI Adapter for the NES

Im not sure why they didnt try to test every game, or do a beta and have people test ever game. Unless thats what they're doing now?

Re: PAL to NTSC switch using PAL chips?

It's technically "possible", it's just very unlikely worth the effort. Easier thing first: It's not too hard to put a 2A03 and 2A07 in the same system at the same time. BUT the 2A03 needs a 21.5MHz clock source and the 2A07 needs a 26.6MHz clock source. Whichever system is in active MUST have its /...

PAL to NTSC switch using PAL chips?

Hey all, just wondering about this. Id love to get into getting some PAL games, and was wondering if theres a way to mod the NES using a switch and PAL chips. Something along those lines of piggybacking all the chip legs and using a switch to determine what sets of chips to use. Is anything like thi...

Re: MMC3 games on MMC1?

Thanks for the info! As far as what the guy told me, he wasn't saying it to put one over on me, he was just confused as I was. And im aware of the MC-ACC MMC3s but if he knew of MMC1 im sure he could identify it. Ive never seen a LS hacked for MMC1 so it sparked my curiosity, I also wonder if the gu...

Re: MMC3 games on MMC1?

I was REALLY skeptical too (the person didnt know as much as I) but was able to know the difference it the type of chip and said 'the rectangular one is mmc1 and the sqaure one is mmc3 right?'. He even said he's take a picture and show me. Which let to my curiosity if maybe the mapper on its basic e...

MMC3 games on MMC1?

I ran into someone that said they have a TLROM game (thats very popular and expensive) repro but instead of using TL its on SLROM. How is this possible? What does the actual mapper do? Does it just set the limit of what the cart can handle (aside from IRQ stuff which I dont even know what it does)? ...

Can you mod the top loader to be louder?

Is it me or is it the top loader is 'lower' in volume than the front loader? I AV modded it and it works great but seems to be lower in volume. Wondering if theres a resistor i should remove or something. Anyone else have any info on this?

Re: External audio on Toploader NES with PowerPak mod

I ended up using a smaller resistor, and it sounds more leveled. But im also noticing the overall volume of the top loader is lower than the front loader. At least I think it is.

Re: External audio on Toploader NES with PowerPak mod

I just got a top loader and tried this to see if i can get my gimmick board to work Using the inl board i bridged 51 and 54 and used a resistor for the top loader. It worked but i had only a 1k resistor and altho i get sound, its kinda low. I also have the AV mod and the resistor and wire are sharin...

Using SOROM to make SNROM not saving?

Hey all, just a quick 2 cents in here. Im making a Sweet Home translated from an SOROM. SNROM and SOROM are identical except SOROM usings WRAM ontop of another WRAM for battery. For some reason the game isnt saving. I changed the battery and its still not saving. Is there some sort of issue with the...
