Re: Zelda II - The Adventure of Link... SUCKED

Majora's FPS is clearly better than Ocarina's, even with better graphics, so it's clear Ocarina was just badly optimized.

Re: 96kb FPS

I haven't looked. Ed64 has a SD card API, N8 (/pro) likely has something similar. Dig around in krikzz.com/pub.

edit: Remembered the Mega Everdrive Pro's video player also uses a similar API to access huge files.

Plus that doesn't make any sense: if you're targeting the Everdrive, you can already access gigabytes.

Re: SNES programming Videos

I did a live stream video yesterday but the sound quality was echoing, so I'll just post some stuff I mentioned. -At one part you accidentally wrote $201a instead of $210a. -lda #$01, sta $420d before setting up anything else would only work if data bank is $00 and A register is 8-bit at reset, whi...

Re: 96kb FPS

Sure, but it would take an eternity in loading times. Even that had long loading times on a PC. It would also require a board with tons of banked CHR RAM and RAM, otherwise you'd get those loading times every level/whatever. A roughly comparable scenario is very advanced compression. Someone used rA...

Re: EverDrive-N8 Bank Switching issue

Well, even official carts have such differences, starting from the pins' lengths. "Game X always works, but Y and Z work intermittently" is common enough on cart console forums. Then ED pulls slightly more power than a normal cart.

Does anyone know if the Everdrive N8 Pro is incompatible with the CopyNES like its predecessor was? That's been the main question stopping me from getting one, but I never got an answer on the support forums.
The Pro has its own USB port. Why would you want to use copynes with it?

Re: EverDrive-N8 Bank Switching issue

While faulty ED is possible, it's more likely your console's pins are dirty.

Re: Hyperbeatz - Rhythm Game

Why are the colors of the same symbol changing? One symbol should always be one color, color-coding is an additional visual cue.

If the alternative appearance gives more points or whatever, display it with a thicker border, etc.

Hardcoded settings is what Nintendo's N64 emulator does, at least.

Re: GBDK2020 - Wobble Effect with some glitches

A giant switch() probably turns into if() else if() cascade, which explains why it gets slow. Look at the asm, and maybe try a jump table.
