The second bug in nestopia's ntsc filter.
Color inaccurate in small area when using ntsc filter.
sega li setting:
decoder custom
R-Y angle 105.000000
G-Y angle 251.000000
B-Y angle 15.000000
R-Y gain 0.570000
G-Y gain 0.351000
B-Y gain 1.016000

hue shift angle 0.000000
saturation 0.000000
contrast 0.000000
brightness 0.000000
gamma correction 0.266000
After doing this, sega li's palette=nestopia's palette.

example:
ninja gaiden I:
ryu's clothes: original RGB=(146,144,255)
nestopia:(152,137,219)~(147,138,245)~(143,144,225) main color darkened
segali:(155,135,254)~(146,141,254)~(142,139,254) accurate

You haven't specified why anyone should take the sega li palette as authoritative in any way.

The difference is probably due to Nestopia (as far as I know) using its own palette calculation code, and Sega Li perhaps using nes_ntsc's built-in palette calculation.

What's the issue? Two NES emulators' palettes differ slightly.

Perhaps the issue is ability to fine-tune game graphics while not near an NES + CRT SDTV.

But even when you do have an NES + CRT SDTV at your disposal there's no guarantee that your graphics will look the same on someone else's NES + CRT SDTV.
