I would like to submit the first nes game I did in cooperation with some of the good souls from the forum.
I used to play a lot NES games as a kid and creating a game for this console was on my bucket list - which with covid-19 spreading fast in 2020 could have had reached me faster than expected ;)

So I used stay at home to learn some 6502 assembly and create a game about battling the coronavirus.


Arcade, top-down, coronavirus.

Category 1 game.

- 32 different levels to beat with a growing difficulty ( more enemies, less time and so on )
- 5 different mission objectives from gathering pills to killing hordes of viruses
- character progression, use earned pills to increase speed, attack and luck in the shop
- 2 kinds of opponents: normal coronavirus and a smart one
- 2 different powerups to gather in-game
- 2 original sound tracks
- passwords mechanism, so you don't need to start from the beginning every time

Technical details
- Written from scratch purely in 6502 assembly, using ca65.
- NROM, 8KB CHR ROM, 2 * 16KB PRG ROM. Meets technical requirements for NROM titles posted in the original thread.
- Uses ggsound engine.
- Some auxilary tools for level generation were written in Python/JS.

I have released it on a single cartridge and roms in January 2021 on a charity auction, all money went straight to ... as_Charity. I do not know if it counts as a "commercial release".
