I've found this video with the soundtrack of the NES game "Darkman":

But when I play this game in an emulator, it sounds totally different. Much more simple and "flatter":

Why is this the case? Was the music in the upper video enhanced? Or is the emulator just not able to recreate the NES music correctly?

I'm pretty sure the first video has reverb postprocessing applied outside the NES.

Also sounds like they ran it in PAL region as well.
