Re: Release my frist game in 8bit
On behalf of absolutely everybody here, I must ask, what exactly is that thing in the image supposed to be? A spaceship?
It's just, it looks like something else...

I see corn flakes! (go hide in my corner since the complete room went cold )
Re: Release my frist game in 8bit
I see Dragon Quest slimes stacked up on each other. (Before I learned what the slimes really were I called them bottle monsters for obvious reasons.)koitsu wrote: Rorschach test -- what do you see?
NOW I see that thing in the screenshot a slime on top of a SMB/Flappy-Bird pipe.

Thank you, Bregalad! Nice to be back and still be able to see familiar faces. I have changed. I'm now 10 times worse.Bregalad wrote:Hey always the good old WedNES day ! Long time no see ! I see you haven't changed though
I can see that Dragon Quest slime thingy Gilbert mentioned.
Poor old OP. Instead of commenting about his game, we are talking about... something else. What is 'Magic Sand' anyway?
Re: Release my frist game in 8bit
Pretty sure the technical term for that thing is "baby booger bulb".yaros wrote: Fountain syringe
"Snot sucker" is also acceptable.

Standard american english name for that pictured device is a "bulb syringe"

Are the pixels drawn using orthographic polygon projection?

@WedNESday
Well, "you've been nesdev! Where we never stay on topic".
Seriously though, I remember seeing the topic but dont't remember if I actually tried it. Now that the topic got some attention (for all the wrong reason), more people will try it so it's not a bad thing

The Windows version didn't work on my computer (Windows 10; the picture scrolls rapidly in vertical direction). Edit: deleted stuff.bazza wrote:https://bazza.itch.io/lacapi

Re: Release my frist game in 8bit
Did you try A. maximizing the console window or B. reducing the console font size?
Re: Release my frist game in 8bit
I tried on linux and since it's a console application (which I didn't realize at first), you need to resize the screen to make it work properly.
Re: Release my frist game in 8bit
If I maximize the window, the title screen shows correctly, but I still can't start the game by pressing space (the screen just slowly alternates between black and white).tepples wrote:Did you try A. maximizing the console window or B. reducing the console font size?
