FF6 Vs. Ceres, Celestial Legend (Coincidences Joke)

Post by jargon » Sun Oct 05, 2008 4:41 am

Historical Accuracy :: SNES :: Final Fantasy :: VI :: Ceres

20081005042810 <jargon> This is the basis for "Ceres", "Selene", "Celeste" in Final Fantasy VI. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceres,_Celestial_Legend
20081005042828 <jargon> "Ceres" ended up as "Rachael."
20081005042845 <jargon> "Selene" ended up "Tina" which later ended up as "Terra." ("Tina" is short for "Celestine.")
20081005042859 <jargon> "Ceres" is the classic "R/L" swap.
20081005042906 <jargon> "Celeste" ended up "Celes"
20081005042941 <jargon> The original concept artists for FF6 based that plot of the game off that comic and originally intended for Locke Cole to keep protecting girls that had similar astrological based names.
20081005043019 <jargon> If you study that Wikipedia article you can see where the plot lines merge and diverge between FF6 and the manga, "Ceres, Celestial Legend."
20081005043250 <jargon> As you can see: http://baby-names.adoption.com/search/Rachel.html This is how the heck "Rachael" was derived.

...And now you know.

Next time check the dates. Ceres Celestial Legend is from 1996. After Final Fantasy 6. Better luck next time.

(for future reference any irc log i post with no header information and nobody else talking is more likely intended as a joke to play along with.)
