VGMNSF

Post by nin-kuuku »

I am alcoholic. I admit that ... but I made some VGM stuff. And I love you all Nintendo freaks!!!
Edit: This ain't AA club? I'll post the TXT file. I'll update the examples someday ... there is no settings in example2 but this thread has some other examples with some settings. Flat assembler is used. There is Windows and Linux versions (and most importantly ... DOS version): https://flatassembler.net/download.php

VGMNSF v0.9.19112020 (VGM player for NES)

Plays more or less:
SN76489 (master system, game gear)
AY8910 (msx, spectrum)
LR35902 (game boy)
Makes horrible sounds with:
YM2612 (genesis/mega drive)
HuC6280 (turbografx16/pc-engine)

Drag examples to "FASM.EXE" to make NSF file.
Use "vgm_facc.exe" to make VGMs frame accurate. Some VGMs sounds fine
without it but not all (GameBoy).
You can add as many files as you can fit in 1MB NSF.
See examples.

Comix Zone is Megadrive song so not working. Officially not supported GeneDrive. "Running Battle" is Master System song so should work. I'll make some NSFs when sober because good songs they are.

It doesn't work. Please attach step-by-step instructions on how and what to do to get the *.nsf file.
Not everyone will be able to understand what to do using the poke method.

Thanks. :)
What about Dynamite Dux from SMS and Hugo 2 (or 2 1/5) from Gameboy?

Cant find Hugo VGMs (someone needs to write GB8080 emulator). But the TV show host had better graphics than the GB game. MESS can turn magically GB stuff to VGMs. Never ask Genesis stuff. Not working. Genesis does what nintendont. Same with PC-Engine.

Great. 8-)
Can you do NSF from Gameboy's port of Lawnmower Man (Virtual Wars is the second name)?
https://www.zophar.net/music/gameboy-gb ... er-man-the
And second question. I found Hugo 2 soundtracks. Is this music format supported?
