Trying to integrate nsf files into an NES rom

Post by Tompis1995 »

Hello. I'm trying to integrate a soundbite sample into the tourettesguy rom I made in other posts. This time, I want the Tourettes Guy to drop the f-bomb as soon as the rom starts. The problem is, I couldn't find any relevant articles online on how to properly integrate basic DMC samples into an .asm file and have the compiled rom play it back. Does the APU behave in a similar fashion to that of the PPU (loading data from a series and storing them into the correct register)? Are the DCPM sample numbers in a text file exported by Famitracker useful? Can someone help me with this? Thanks! All relevant files are included in this post.

NSF files are basically complete ROMs, it's not easy at all to glue two ROMs together.
